Boy, did we all have such wonderful CDBA Holiday party last month with a great crowd and it was a great pleasure for Mr Santa Clause to see everyone, including SSPs, having had such a grand time. Mr. Claus wishes to thank so many wonderful of elves who assisted him to make this day a huge success. In addition, many thanks for your generosities’ donation as we raised well over $700, are cord breaking amount raised at an CDBA event.
AS per our discussion at the December 2018 CDBA event, we have looked into the possibility of having a bowling event this coming Saturday, January 12, 2019. Before I go on, I must most sincerely apologize for the lateness of sending this email; however, with the holiday season and so many of us were busy with our personal affairs, it was not until just now we are starting to work on this. We have selected the site of Haberle Bowl located at 5250 Northwestern Highway, Chicago, IL 60630, This location is in the northwestern part of Chicago and can be very readily and easily to be there by using I-90 as this place is right off this interstate highway. CDBA will pay for your bowling fees and the only thing you need to bring is money for your lunch or snack at the food court on the site or you can brown bag. For those who are not interested in bowling, but would like the opportunity to socialize with other DeafBlind attendees, we would wholeheartedly welcome you with us.
In order to make this really happen, we need at least 10-15 bowlers to make this happen – for the record, just the bowlers only but everyone who wants to go this MUST place your reservations by Thursday, January 10 at NOON so we can announce again whether the event is still on or not. Please try to let us know and please tell your other DeafBlind friends who may not look at the website or use the Internet to give Joann or Mindy Joy. Pease send your RSVP to Mindy Joy Mayer at:
Come on out and forget all the winter blues you may be feeling nowadays for warm fellowship, cheering or your friends and have just plain old grand time!
