A message from the president:

I know some of you might have wondered or complained about why you paid for lunch every meeting. Please remember we have created a budget starting in September 2013. Most of us knew in the past it used to be free lunch for all members, non-members and guests, and SSPs whenever our meetings were taken at The Chicago Lighthouse.

Unfortunately, we need to budget our money. We do have money, yes, but our finances seem not in a good shape as of right now. That’s one of reasons why we started creating a budget. If we can budget our money so that we are spending less than we pay for all members, non-members, guests, and SSPs, we WILL be able to save money and build wealth.

I as the president, am kindly asking you to help pay a little or half for our meals. Thanks for being a loyal member and for all your support.

Don’t delay – come join us to play a Bingo game! We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, March 8th.

If you will be attending, please contact Sara at sara.w.chung@gmail.com to RSVP by March 3rd.

February 2014 Newsletter

We, Le COBDA, will be hosting not only Valentine’s Day Party, but also CHILI COOK-OFF PARTY.

Why not host a chili “throwdown” to see who among your friends has the best recipe? Seems like every cook has a favorite (and thinks theirs is the best), so competition will be hot!

A chili cook-off is an unique way to get together with friends and have a fun, food-filled party that everyone will love.

Members and non-members/guests each bring a pot of their favorite homemade chili recipe and everyone samples them all and chooses their favorites.

Don’t get too stressed out about the rules and the scoring. Remember that it’s all in fun and that you are just getting together with friends to have a good time.
